FAQs
Frequently asked questions
Answers to the questions we hear most about glass balustrades, staircases, splashbacks and bespoke mirrors.
Working with us
Which areas do you cover?
We are based in Sittingbourne, Kent and work throughout Kent and the South East, including Maidstone, Medway, Canterbury, Faversham, the Isle of Sheppey, Ashford, Gravesend, Dartford, Sevenoaks, Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells.
Are your quotes free?
Yes. Quotes are free and there is no obligation. Tell us about your project and we come back with design ideas and an estimate.
How does the process work?
Enquiry, estimate, site survey, formal quotation, production and installation. Once you are happy with the estimate we visit to take precise measurements, and an initial deposit starts production of your glass.
Do you work on homes and businesses?
Yes. We design and install bespoke glass for homes and commercial properties, from staircases and splashbacks to external balustrades and feature mirrors.
Are you Checkatrade approved?
Yes. We have been Checkatrade approved since 2019 and have 119 reviews on our Checkatrade profile.
What glass do you use?
Toughened safety glass for balustrades, staircases and splashbacks, in clear, satin, tinted, coloured or mirrored finishes depending on the product.
Glass Balustrades
Is a glass balustrade safe?
Yes. We only use toughened safety glass, which is several times stronger than ordinary glass of the same thickness and is designed to break into small, blunt pieces if it is ever damaged. Every balustrade is fixed with premium fittings and installed by our own team.
Can you fit glass balustrades outside?
Yes. Our external balustrades use toughened, weather resistant glass and suit balconies, terraces, patios, decking and gardens. They protect the edge without blocking the view and are easy to keep clean.
What post and clamp options do you offer?
Choose stainless steel circular posts, stainless steel box section posts or a frameless U channel system. Clamps come in stainless steel square, stainless steel D or black powder coated square, and we can powder coat posts to the colour of your choice.
Which glass finishes are available?
Clear glass for maximum light and views, satin glass for added privacy, and tinted glass for a softer, contemporary look.
Do you install balustrades for businesses?
Yes. We work on homes and commercial properties across Kent and the South East, from staircases and mezzanines to external terraces.
How do I get a price?
Use the quote form or call 01795 500995. We talk through design ideas, send an estimate, then visit to take precise measurements before we issue a formal quotation.
Glass Staircases
Can you add glass to my existing staircase?
Yes. We can replace existing spindles or banisters with a made-to-measure glass balustrade, keeping your current stairs while giving the hallway a brighter, more open feel.
What materials do you use?
High-quality toughened safety glass, combined with stainless steel fittings and, where the design calls for it, timber.
Is toughened glass suitable for a family home?
Toughened safety glass is strong and is designed to break into small, blunt pieces if it is ever damaged, which is why it is used for guarding. We design every staircase around how the space is used day to day.
Do you work on commercial staircases?
Yes. Our bespoke glass stair solutions are designed for commercial properties as well as homes across Kent and the South East.
How does the process work?
Enquiry, estimate, site survey, formal quotation, production and installation. Our team handles every step, from the first design ideas to fitting on the agreed date.
Glass Splashbacks
Can a glass splashback go behind a hob?
Our kitchen splashbacks are made from toughened glass, which is heat resistant, so they are a popular choice behind the hob as well as along the worktops. We check your cooker and layout during the site survey.
What colours can I choose?
A wide range of colours, mirrored finishes and custom designs, from bold statement shades to soft neutrals. We help you pick a finish that suits your units and worktops.
Are glass splashbacks easier to clean than tiles?
Yes. A glass splashback has no grout lines, so it wipes clean in seconds and gives you a seamless, hygienic alternative to tiles.
Do you fit bathroom splashbacks?
Yes. Our bathroom splashbacks protect walls from moisture and splashes, in the same wide choice of colours and finishes as our kitchen splashbacks.
How are splashbacks measured?
Once you are happy with the estimate, one of our team visits to take precise measurements, so every panel is made to fit your walls exactly.
Bespoke Mirrors
Can you make a mirror to any size?
Yes. Every mirror is made to measure in the shape, size and finish you want, and we visit to take precise measurements before production.
What mirror styles do you offer?
Tinted, antique, backlit and framed mirrors, plus sleek frameless designs for bathrooms, dressing rooms, hallways and feature walls.
Do you make mirrors for businesses?
Yes. We make striking feature mirrors and practical mirrors for commercial settings as well as homes across Kent and the South East.
Do you install the mirrors as well?
Yes. Our team handles everything from the first design discussion to production and full installation on site.
